What you get
- PNG files at the same width and height as your original.
- Batch conversion for as many images as you add.
- A preview of each file on a checkered background, so you can see any transparent areas.
- Photo details such as camera model and GPS location are not copied into the new PNG.
Why is my PNG bigger than my JPG?
PNG is a lossless format. It keeps every pixel exactly as it is, while JPG and WEBP throw away detail to save space. So a photo usually gets bigger when it becomes a PNG.
Converting does not bring back detail a JPG has already lost. PNG is the right choice when you need sharp edges, text, logos or a format that some apps or sites ask for.
