Title Case styles
Style guides do not all agree on which small words to capitalize. This tool follows a common pattern that keeps short words such as articles, conjunctions and short prepositions small. Check a single headline against your publication’s style guide if it has one.
Frequently asked questions
Will sentence case fix names and places?
No. Sentence case makes everything small except the first letter of each sentence and the word I, so names such as London or Sarah need capitalizing again by hand.
Can I convert several lines at once?
Yes. The code cases work line by line, so a list of names becomes a list of converted names.
Is my text saved?
No. The tool works in your browser and nothing is uploaded.
